 Hi Loves!

Just wanted to quickly share this easy lightly layered look I wore earlier this week. I should also mention that the weather has been moody and rainy lately so there's no telling how to dress in the mornings most of the time. Which especially for me makes putting together my outfits a bit tricky since I prefer to put together my outfit of what I'll be wearing the night before I go to sleep. Yup, that's right I'm a little OCD ADD when it comes to my wardrobe and I can't help but plan out my whole look the night before. It makes waking up a lot simpler when all I have to do I throw on the outfit I already planned out which means less time dressing and more time chugging my morning coffee, putting my face on, styling my hair all to get out the door sooner.

Okay enough of my weird rituals which perhaps I'll blog about another time if that's something you readers would like to learn more about...
Sooo this outfit entails a few of my favorite go to pieces: a dress, boots and a hat. Surprising, I know, but I just feel so comfortable in a look like this. The tights are a simple way to take my look rainy day appropriate or if I simply took them off in the middle of the day once the sun comes out, I have that option as well. The hat is my necessary evil for the rain since it keeps me dry and warm plus there's also the fact that once I'm inside I can just take it off and shake my locks around for a no fuss tousled mane. The boots I'm wearing are a special christmas gift I bought for myself a few years ago from Free People. What got me excited about them was they were designed by, which if you're an obsessive fashion loving lady you understand the hype we have for these kind of shoes. I usually always rock a bunch of jewelry and a pop of color on my lips which is always MAC cosmetics brand. The sweater vest acts like a jacket but doesn't get so overwhelming warm since my arms can breathe. And there you have it a simple fun light layered look for living in southern california.

Next time you get dressed for gloomy weather in the spring time remember to layer but with a few key pieces and you'll be glad you did.
