Friends With Benefits

Hi Loves!

Today I just wanted to properly introduce a best friend of mine miss Alexandra Wesley. She's a very special friend who is someone that has always supported me and had my back through thick and thin over the years. You have probably recognized her by now from my other posts recently this year from our adventures in Joshua Tree to the San Francisco weekend we are pretty close to say the least (plus she's a great travel companion). We love to push each other to do things out of our comfort zone and so with this exciting post I simply wanted to announce that this amazing lady above will be launching a blog soon and it will be called something like, "Bar Wesley" so be on the look out for that folks.
When the times comes for her big debut I'll be posting again to send you over her way so that you'll be able to check out her new site once it's up and running.

In other news last week I had the pleasure of styling her for her new blog in a photoshoot with the one and only Julie Jones. I'll be revealing images from that creative project in a new post very soon.

In the meantime, I hope everyone is having a wonderful first week of summer!
Yay its here.

Oceanside Outsider

Wearing:
( Hair braid done by my hairstylist mother Sue Jones, H&M tights and peplum polka dot top, high waisted metallic shorts from my work at RAGZ Dressware Inc., as well as my high heels which I got from The Beat Clothing the sister store to Ragz Dressware. Rings are a collection of random pieces; the ivory one is stolen from my mother, middle finger is a Anthropologie brass ring and ROOST CO. turquoise silver ring also from my old job. Lastly the bracelet and earrings are from Goldilocks Designs. )

Hi Loves!

Sorry I've been a little M.I.A. lately because I've actually been meaning to post this outfit post for a while. This is a photo shoot I recently did with my lovely photographer and good friend Julie Jones, who has also worked with me on this post and this post to create these pigmented vivid images you gaze upon now.

These were so fun to shoot since I had the morning free and was able to hangout with my girls Alex and Julie in Oceanside, CA here along the coast in San Diego. We wandered around while I posed all awkwardly in front of cool spots in the area (aka downtown Oceanside). I felt the need to play up patterns once again because I supposed it's what I do best while incorporating some killer heels, a playful side braid and simplistic jewelry pieces from my gal Sara Fredericks of Goldielockes Jewelry which I posted just recently

I hope you enjoyed this look loves!

My Summer 2015 Playlist

Hi Loves!

(The pictures above were little tid bits from the live concerts I've been to lately so sorry for the gritty iphone quality, bare with me my peeps.)

Just wanted to share what I've been listening to lately. This year I've been really tapping into new music ventures... I've been to 5 shows and counting: The Wild Wild Wets, Jenny Lewis, Tallest Man on Earth, and Spoon. So keep it coming summer! Cheers to blasting these tunes as loud as they will go in my car driving down the highway wind blowing my hair and sun beaming on my face with my iced coffee in hand.
Ahhh yess...

Goldilocks Designs

Hi Loves!!!

I hope everyone's weekend is off to a warm and fun filled start especially since tomorrow is Father's day.

With that side note, today I wanted to re-introduce my good friend Sarah Fredericks jewelry line called Goldilocks Designs. Now if she seems familiar it's because I had previously written about her HERE in this blog post from last year. Sarah and I met through social media coincidentally and became close friends through our mutual interests in fashion, jewelry making, as well as health and yoga like mindedness. She's a beautiful creature and I highly recommend learning more about her HERE and getting connected.

The images shown above are from my recent product photo shoot collaborating with Julie Jones and Goldilocks jewelry. Julie Jones took all the images you see above and the earrings and bracelet were gifts from Sarah so I decided to play around with some prop styling and voila! Personally, I think they turned out great and I just had soo much fun playing around with it all. The jewelry is lightweight and made from quality materials like brass and gemstone beads. Goldilocks has a lot of other great pieces listed in her Etsy store: SHOP if you want to take a peek.

(This is not a sponsored post I just love my creative girlfriends and I want the world to know who and how awesome they are.)

Stay tuned for a new outfit post featuring myself wearing these jewelry pieces depicted above for tomorrow's post.

Neutral & Minimal

Hi Loves!

I Wore This outfit to my brother's 24th birthday dinner recently. It felt very bohemian but also very minimal and neutral since I wasn't wearing a bunch of colors for once. The most of this outfit is from where I work at Blues and Shoes in Carlsbad, San Diego. But as for the shoes which are vintage and the blouse which was thrifted my black lace pants and long beige vest are from Blues and Shoes. All my makeup I wear is MAC cosmetics and as well for my jewelry it pretty much vintage, thrifted or handmade.

To get my hairstyle aka my lovely cut and color hit up my talented mother who has been a hairstylist for years miss Sue Jone at 858-449-7746
She works in San Diego and is willing to travel and also make house calls. I'll be like her soon someday since I'm in beauty school right now at Bellus Academy in Poway, CA.

I hope you enjoyed this look loves!

Home Sweet Home

Hi Loves!

I hope everyone is having a lovely productive week so far. As for me, I'm in my second week of beauty school. It's been a crazy busy daily grid as of late with work then school every weekday now, basically 12 hour days... I just hope I don't get worn down from my crazy new jam packed schedule.Which leads me to posting this  silly little post reflecting on my cozy relaxing room which gives me such needed inner peace. With a on the go flow lately I needed my space to reflect a softer more calming state so I can literally come home and chill. I think these several photos portray my decor taste quite accurately although more plants, prints and throw pillows never hurt anyone. I hope you enjoyed this little tid bit of a room tour.

Take care dears.
