 Hi Loves!

This industrial inspired photo shoot comes to you from a feeling of wanting to explore and shoot in an unconventional area. During this shoot my photographer and I got "kicked out" of this shipping yard and for no real reason other than for safety hazards which was understandable considering I was crawling around on the their equipment. LOL My bad.

It was still a good time to be had running around with this funky outfit on surrounded by random industrial equipment. I thought it made for a good contrast with the punk rock feel of my crazy outfit. All images were taken by Julie Jones my local San Diego based photographer.

Well once again thank you all for reading and taking a look at my take on a bohemian punk rock look. I hope this inspires you and gets you feeling creative.

P.S. new favorite band I've been listening to is Broods album is called "Evergreen" give them a listen and get ready to dance and chill...

Thai Inspired Palms

Wearing:
Vintage vest, MAC makeup cosmetics, jumper, black vest worn underneath and shoes from Ragz Dressware and Blues and Shoes boutiques. Jewelry is a mixture of pieces from ROOST CO. wholesale company, Anthropologie, Blues and Shoes, and lastly, the handmade brass hammered hoops I created.
Concept/Location: Was a mutual collaboration between myself and my photographer Julie Jones. We stumbled upon this Palm tree farm on a whim within the outskirts of Rancho Bernardo here in San Diego, CA.

Hi Loves!

So this shoot was quite a treat because it was actually plan B,
yep this location where these images were taken was found by accident. Last week my good friend and photographer Julie and I randomly came across this palm tree farm after our first initial location spot fell through. But you know what, I wouldn't have had it any other way because this whole look came together really well in my opinion. I love the whole yoga, thai, bohemian, eclectic feel this whole photoshoot came out to be.

What do you think? Honest and positive critical input from my readers is very much appreciated.

The original spot in which we wanted to shoot in was the mosaic park in Escondido, CA called Queen Califia's Magical Garden but when we showed up that overcast morning it was closed. There was no way in except for small parties that had to call ahead of time or to go on the second saturday of every month when it was open to the public... Pretty much we figured that it just wouldn't work so we improvised and what you see above are results of creative critical thinking/problem solving at its finest!

This week I have a few more interesting posts coming your way so stay tuned and be sure to follow me and check back for more inspiring creative looks.

I hope everyones week is off to a wonderful start so far!

Downtown Networking Event

Downtown San Diego Networking Event

Wearing: Bag is thrifted but the rest of my outfit including jewelry and shoes are all from The Beat Clothing, SD, CA.

Hi Loves!

I'm happy to say that I'm back and have been busier than ever. Last week I managed to fit it this awesome networking event in downtown San Diego. The event took place at Luco salon lounge in Hillcrest, which Hillcrest just so happens to be one of my favorite places in San Diego its edgy, urban and it's also known as the gay district so it's super artsy as well. Along by my side I had my photographer Julie Jones to keep me company throughout the entire event where we met wonderful local fellow San Diego professionals. From public realtions ladies Alisa Rottenberg, and Alisha Dickinson, to a few lovely shop owners such as Katie Brown from Trendy and Tipsy and the ladies over at Shop Fern to lastly a new blogger friend Vanessa Barnes from fashionmixtape.com

Needless to say it was a blast! I had so much fun, it definitely was worth skipping my beauty school class for this one night to be present there surrounded by business savvy creatives like myself. As you can see above from my outfit photos I was also able to shoot with Julie before the event so we could capture the vibe of urban San Diego ( it's been on my list of things to do) so mission accomplished.

If you're interested in following some of the attendees that were at the event this past week here's a list:

Everyday Styling: All in a day's work

Hi Loves!

I'm back with yet a new post featuring some of my clients I've recently styled this past month or so.

So to fill ya in...

In Carlsbad village there's three boutiques owned by the same company which started with Ragz Dressware Inc. and has grown into two other sister stores: Blues and Shoes and The Best Clothing. Personally I like to think of these shopping destinations as a local's best kept secret since you only know about the stores through word of mouth. And let me tell you, IT'S AWESOME!!!

The clothing and accessory prices of these three boutiques is insanely affordable so buying a whole outfit definitely won't break the bank. Each store has a specific theme and caters to a clothing style that best suits any type of woman, so lemme break it down for you:
Ragz Dressware- The original store that was opened over 20 years ago features hip and trendy clothing styles similar to a forever 21 feeling but even cheaper.
Blues and Shoes- The bohemian destination with cute affordable knock off items so similar to Free People and Anthropology's styles its ridiculous. Plus, any woman at any age can find an outfit here since there's no age specific target shopper.
The Beat Clothing- A little bit rock and roll, a whole lotta black mixed with vintage styles and band Tee's galore. For the punk rocker or las Vegas weekend wardrobe shop here and be pleasantly surprised with what you find.

On a side note the photos above are customers I've worked with from all three stores and are all ages from teens to working 20 somethings to the hip mothers I can find the right looks for any kind of lady.

And there ya have it!
